1. CRAB APPLES |
Lay an old sheet or shower curtain on the ground to catch your Crab Apples. Some farmers markets will buy them off you. |
2. CAR BOOT |
Use and old shower curtain as a boot liner – this is particularly useful when you have a muddy dog in the boot. |
3. FROZEN PADLOCKS |
Pour a little lubricating oil in a padlock to stop it freezing up over winter. |
4. OLD TIGHTS |
These are useful if cut across legs for tying up things like beans. |
5. OLD BAKING TRAYS |
These can be useful when gardening for putting dirty items on, and keeping things in one place. |
6. SLIP PROOF DECKING |
After painting sprinkle dry sand on the paint to make it less slippery in wet weather. |
7. ENHANCE YOUR LOUNGE |
Colour your decking the same colour as your lounge carpet to give it the feeling of bringing your lounge outside. |
8. RE - USE BABY BATH |
If you have an old baby bath you could sit your plants in this in a small depth of water whilst you are away, or you could use a paddling pool. |

If you have an unwanted greenhouse replace the glass with plywood and use as a garden shed. |

If your cat is difficult to give medicine to, try wearing thick gloves to keep those claws at bay. |
11. WOOPSY |
Tie a plastic bag round the handle of your dogs lead so you always have something should you accidentally forget to take a bag with you. |
12. DOG BAGS |
Try using scented nappy sacks for collecting dog mess which makes the matter more pleasant. |
13. PET MAT |
Cut some carpet protector and place under pets bowls to catch all spillages. |
14. BICYCLE COVER |
Pop a shower cap on your bicycle seaet to keep it dry when left. |
15. COMPACT BIN RUBBISH |
If you have an old saucepan lid this can be used for pressing down rubbish in your compost. |
16. BIKE CLIPS |
I always keep large elastic bands or pegs on my big should I forget or lose my bike clips. |
17. NAPPY SACKS |
These are ideal as sick bags to keep in the car or even to use for carrying picnic rubbish. |
18. GARLIC NETTING |
You can use the nets that garlic come in to cover seeds in plant pots. Stretch the nylon net over the pot for protection. |
19. PLANTS |
To stop plants from faling over, put a tree branch (with the leaves removed) and secure the plant to it using a mini hair claw. |
20. DOG HAIR |
After brushing my golden retriever I put his fur in the hedge for birds to use for their nest. |
